The P.O.W.E.R ECHO Project Community Health Worker Training is designed to assist community health workers with resources and education, in order to strengthen their efforts in providing support services for sickle cell disease (SCD) patients. P.O.W.E.R ECHO Project uses the ECHO telecommunication model to reach community health workers and by offering online training services on emerging and current topics in Sickle Cell Disease. The P.O.W.E.R. training for Community Health Workers (CHWs) is designed to provide CHWs working in the SCD community with further resources and educational tools to strengthen their efforts in providing supportive services for Sickle Cell Disease patients and their families. The P.O.W.E.R ECHO Project uses the ECHO telecommunication model to bridge CHWs from various regions in professional development sessions focused on current and emerging Sickle Cell Disease topics through training and case study discussions.

If you have a passion for community health or you have been personally affected by Sickle Cell Disease, SCDAA encourages you to register for the P.O.W.E.R ECHO Project Community Health Worker (CHW) Training. This training is complimentary to the Sickle Cell Disease Community Health Worker Training by providing additional support in Sickle Cell Disease updates and patient education support efforts which will begin on February 10, 2022 at 12 PM EST – 1:00 PM EST. If you are a current Community Health Worker with a passion to assist those affected by Sickle Cell Disease, SCDAA encourages you to register for the P.O.W.E.R training for Community Health Workers (CHWs). This training compliments and enhances the core competencies learned during the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America’s Community Health Worker Training by providing additional resources, education, and supportive techniques for Community Health Workers.

Presenters are national leaders in their respective fields and the interactive format allows attendees to learn from industry leaders without having to travel. We utilize a user-friendly webinar software to ensure the sessions are accessible for all levels of technological expertise.
